Our Althetes

The athletes of Far West NSW come from some of the most disadvantaged and poor regions of NSW.  For many of them, sport is the only thing that they have to pass the time in many uninspiring and unstimulating community locations. 

Many of the children in these areas do not have access to facilities and athletes are required to travel long distances just be to participate with others in their sport at a competitive level.  For some, the rural living is to great and they are forced to surrender their athletic hopes to help their families make a living.

FWAS assist these athletes by providing them with the opportunities to build their confidence, education and experiences to be able to possibly one day perform to the highest levels of sport.
